Why did you become a personal trainer?

My main reason for becoming a personal trainer was to be able to use my knowledge to help people make positive changes in their lives through health and fitness. I have always been interested in fitness but did not start seriously training until a later age (a lot later than most) and this was the best thing I have ever done. I not only found a new passion, it was something that was for me to better myself in looking better, feeling better and having a great sense of achievement in my life and this is what I want to share. I want people to know that it is never too late to make changes that will make you look and feel great. I have the life skills, motivation and passion to help people achieve and goals they may have.


How do you differ from other trainers?

I differ from most trainers as I didn’t start seriously training until I reached 40 years of age and in this time I have found my passion! My aim is to push my clients to a limit they never thought they could reach and to give them the motivation and belief they are unable to find by themselves. I know that not all clients will have the same level of experience as others, so I will always keep it easy to understand. I will pass on knowledge I have gained throughout my own nutrition and fitness journey (learn from my mistakes). As my chosen sport is bodybuilding, I have a very good understanding of how to gain lean muscle (tone-up), lose body-fat, increase muscle mass, increase cardiovascular fitness, train with free weights etc.


Favourite exercise/equipment?

I have so many free weight exercises that I love, and it is hard to pick just one, my favourite would have to be dumbbell lateral raise.


Guilty pleasure?

Hot waffles, ice cream and Nutella
